Superior Fuel was established back in 1947 by our uncle, Salvatore Lantieri. Uncle Sal built a strong reputable oil delivery service based on hard work and family values. His work ethic became the backbone of our business model, to provide our customers with an honest and reliable professional service. In 1979, continuing our uncle’s tradition, Superior’s current owners purchased the business from their uncle.

Joe and Jean Riggi & Family have continued their uncle’s success, expanding to open Superior Tank Removal in 1982, providing environmental services to the Greater Waterbury area. Then once again, further expanding in 1988 the Riggi’s acquired Amodeo Fuel Inc. with a promise to all previous Amodeo customers to uphold and surpass the level of service they were used to, as they became the newest members of the Superior family.

At Superior, we pride ourselves on continuing to providing the excellent customer service which embraces our great reputation as a leading fuel provider in the Greater Waterbury area. A tradition started by our uncle back in 1947. Our office is staffed by family and owners Joe and Jean are always close by for added support.
